You will also work closely with the Events Manager assisting with any Health and Safety issues.The Ideal CandidateEssential skills Experience in managing complex audience facing events. Experience of prioritising and performing well under pressure and to tight deadlines. Substantial experience of the risk assessment process. Experience working with external partners in local government and/or development agencies, education and promoters. Firm grasp of the statutory regulations pertaining to live events (such as Health and Safety at Work Act, CDM, DDA, Licensing etc.) Effective organising and planning skills and ability to concentrate on several areas of work at any one time. The ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with colleagues, other BBC personnel, outside agencies and members of the public. A team player who works well under pressure. Able to script and develop content activities on site relating to our CBBC/CBeebies brands.Desirable Experience of creating events specifically targeted at children and young people A broadly based general knowledge, with lively interest in the BBC, together with a broad understanding of BBC procedures. A proven familiarity of production systems, procedures and techniques, and of associated operational and administrative systems.
