Reporting into the Producer/Senior Producer/Head of Programmes, the Editorial Assistant will be assisting on the editorial production of all Premier League Productions (PLP) Programmes Dept shows, including; Football analysis, Fanzone researcher, assisting across all programming, plus some departmental admin dutiesKey Accountabilities Part of PLP's Programmes Dept production team working across many aspects of live studio and magazine show outputAssisting on the editorial production of programmes for the Premier LeagueTo plan, research and edit content for any Programmes Dept offeringWorking alongside on-screen talent & senior staff to prepare analysis for all studio programmingWorking on Fanzone to source worldwide phone and video callers and user generated contentTo log and review rushes and select suitable material for editingTo supervise post-production as necessaryTo co-ordinate and/or work in a live studio environmentResponsible for adhering to compliance guidelines for broadcasters/clients as appropriateYou may also be required to carry out any other duties which are within the scope and purpose of the jobRequired Qualifications (Knowledge & Experience) Experience of logging rushes and selecting material for editsUnderstanding of the workings of a live studio environment and magazine showsExcellent knowledge of the Premier LeagueGood general sports knowledgeUnderstanding of digital workflowUnderstanding and experience of non-linear edit systemsAbility to work under pressure and to tight deadlinesStrong editorial sense for storiesGood communication skills (both written and verbal) and excellent interpersonal skillsComputer literateExcellent customer focus skills (representing the face of the company/programme to the public/potential contributors)Understanding and experience of non-linear edit systemsDesirableExperience on a wide range of sports programming, including live OB's, quick-turnaround highlights, documentaries, magazine showsSelf-editing capability with Avid, Adobe and/or FCPExperience of dealing with Talent (e.g. presenters, commentators, sports stars) Self-editing capability with Avid, Premiere, FCP, etc.Shooting on digital formatsNCTJ trained or equivalentWorking Conditions This is a fixed term position until May 2022Please note, we are operating on a remote working set up until lockdown restrictions have been lifted.
