SJR is currently looking for an ambitious individual to join their growing team in London as a Picture Editor.

Position:
Generation of ideas and briefs for imagery.
Directly search for and select images
Brief collaborating agencies for imagery, manage that briefing and production process, and select from their shortlisted images / artwork against the agreed brief.
Buy images directly from image stock houses and individual photographers when required.
Crop and prepare images to the right specifications and most impactful compositions
Work with the multimedia department to ensure all images and their associated usage rights are recorded and stored in a central asset library.
Help uphold client's editorial guidelines by making sure that the content is 'shaping the dialogue' through its imagery - that it is consistent, distinctive, relevant to the message of the content and in-line with our new visual-identity principles.

Requirements:
In-depth experience in developing visually-led content for external audiences - a background in digital or print publishing is preferred.
An art director's eye for a striking composition.
Working knowledge of MS Photoshop.
Good knowledge of image stock houses or other sources of affordable, rights cleared imagery
An interest in experimenting with new content formats.
Initiative and creativity - an ability to think beyond the obvious and to identify images that capture abstract concepts (like 'innovation', 'transformation' and 'measuring value') without cliché.
Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
Excellent communications and networking experience and skills in a wide range of situations and with people at all levels within the organization, including global leadership.
