Tate is now recruiting an Edit Assistant to work in the Tate Digital team on video and content production, including the TateShots series

This role would suit someone who has experience editing with Premiere and with Editshare or similar storage systems, as well as some production and/or co-ordinating experience.

The role mainly involves:
providing technical support and maintenance to Tate's edit suites and managing the storage system
editing of video material including subtitling, placement of stills, captions, and other changes to edits. Audio mixing and colour grading also, if the candidate is skilled in these areas.
branding, compressing and uploading finished films to Tate's website and other video platforms
reversioning films for Instagram and other platforms
managing Tate's filming kit including preparing selections of kit for shoots, hiring kit from suppliers, arranging repairs and overseeing returns
preparing projects for external editors
overseeing and advising on workflows for publishing/changes/archiving and other processes
sourcing and preparing both external archive and Tate's own archived footage.
digitising and meticulously archiving footage through the LTO/ARK/Editshare systems
assisting on shoots as necessary

This is a freelance position spanning approximately four to six months with a potential opportunity to extend or be considered for longer fixed term employee contract at Tate.
The position has a certain amount of flexibility to it in terms of number of days per week (minimum of three, but full time is also possible) and is based in the Tate offices at Tate Britain (Pimlico)
