Just Some Theatre are currently looking for expressions of interest from a Dramaturg and/or Director for a new one act theatre piece that's currently in its early drafts. The goal of our current R&D period is to have a performance ready script for a short tour in late 2019 and future tours into 2020 and beyond.

The play is a satirical comedy with farcical elements, drawing on the 'end is nigh' zeitgeist of contemporary culture and media. Think Peep Show meets the Book of Revelation.

We are very passionate about ensuring we find the right person for this project and are happy to send more information if requested. The ideal candidate will have experience working with new scripts and is able to bring creative and realistic approaches to staging the text. Experience of working on farce/satirical comedy work is an advantage. The main focus will be on developing the script alongside the writer, and the project will culminate in a script in hand reading in mid March.

We are flexible and open to discussion about ways of approaching this project and the level of engagement with the applicant. Most of the work can be carried out independently between February and March with regular communication with the writer. In-person meetings and readings will also take place at our studio.

Project Fee £1000 - £1200 (Depending on experience & engagement)
