WHAT'S YOUR NEW ROLE ABOUT?

Our Director of Production will oversee all Outside Broadcast output and support programming teams within the Group Operations function of Perform.
This is one of the fastest developing areas of the business due to the increased demand on Live content for Perform's OTT business, DAZN.

You will oversee teams that provide Outside Broadcast services to the DAZN programming verticals in each territory. Enabling either multiple and individual local programming teams to version the output to its own brand style whilst maintaining a high level of service to external parties through World Feed services. Furthermore, you will oversee the Outside Broadcast and support programming requirements for Perform's broadcast partners. A key part of this role is to create best of breed services within the changing landscape of providing live and on demand content within the OTT landscape. This is a global role with people spread across most of territories that Perform operate in.

You will require a strong background in setting the vision, delivering to a brief and work within agreed budgets. They must be a proven team leader, strategist, strong manager of people, and should consider their communication skills as one of their most valuable assets. They must oversee Heads of Production across a number of sports verticals and lead by example of how to create world-class production output consistently in a well-organised professional team environment. A global contact book or knowledge of solutions in multiple territories would be an advantage.

WHAT WILL YOU DO IN YOUR NEW ROLE?

Implement the strategic plan on creating a single entity within Perform for delivering high class live and on-demand production services for the Perform verticals. Working alongside key stakeholders across the Group maintain existing output whilst integrating DAZN requirements - 25%
Create a structure that can scale according to the business needs whilst maintaining a tight cost control - 20%
Support and coach managers to effectively manage all aspects of their work - 20%
Support the central commercial, local DAZN Commercial and Heads of Programming in the requirements setting and successful implementation of OB and on-demand programming services - 10%
Be accountable for the budget, annual salary review (ASR) and personal development review (PDR) process supporting HR - 5%

DO YOU HAVE THESE ESSENTIALS?

Proven experience overseeing large sports production department
Evidence of being able to work effectively with all members of varied production teams at a high level
Commercial acumen and knowledge of cost management
A thorough understanding of the technical processes involved in Live sport and other sports broadcasting and program production
A thorough understanding of the production and delivery surrounding World Feeds for top end sports production
Understanding of content production for OTT distribution
