Digital Video Producer & Editor

The Digital Video Media Producer & Editor reports to the Head of Instructional Design & Media and has primary responsibility for the specialist oversight and coordination, production, post production and publishing activities related to the creation of digital video media content for consumption by internal and external customer audiences identified by the Global Learning Operations function.
The post holder acts as the primary expert for digital video media creation including green-screen and location staging, subject coaching and direction, scripting and autocue guidance, video capture and uploading, and full edit and post production activities designed to meet the strategic needs of Global Education & Training.
Responsibilities -
* Work collaboratively with Global Education & Training teams and stakeholders across the business to ensure the timely development, creation and delivery of digital video media content to support programs and maximize consumption
* Carry out methods and media analysis and provide advice and guidance to ensure digital video media content is used to meet the needs of identified audiences and optimize the user experience
* Provide expert advice, guidance and coordination to approved project teams ensuring that video media creation is optimized in the following areas:
> Green-Screen studio and location staging
> Sound and lighting
> Piece-to-camera subject coaching and direction
> Scripting and autocue construction
> Video capture and rough edit
> Footage upload for specialist edit
> Screen-capture software use for blended media content
> Distributed/distance video capture and direction
* Carry out full edit and post production activities ensuring that all content is peer reviewed and sponsor approved prior to publishing
* Maintain regular engagement with subject matter experts, project managers, and training delivery specialists to ensure approved projects are kept on track
* Collaborate with Multimedia eLearning content development specialists to ensure digital video content is embedded into online learning modules where required
* Collaborate with Marketing and Internal Communications teams to ensure content is repurposed for use internally and externally on social media platforms
* Ensure industry innovation is championed for adoption within Global Learning Operations to optimize content creation and enhance user experience
* Provide input to functional KPIs and progress updates for senior management information
* Communicate and ensure compliance with Elekta's Code of Conduct and other suite of policies
* Perform other related duties as negotiated with the Director of Global Learning Operations
Authorities:
* Autonomy to manage time & workload and implement operational decisions as agreed with the Head of IDM
* Autonomy for the management, control and assignment of resources as agreed with the Head of IDM
* Implementation of budget related decisions as agreed with the Head of IDM
Relevant Knowledge, skills and competencies:
* Bachelor's Degree in Media Studies - or equivalent - plus minimum of 2-3 years' experience in film making, editing, and digital publishing including social media
* Demonstrable knowledge and experience of methods-and-media analysis, content creation technologies and desk-top editing (Adobe Premier and/or Final Cut Pro) essential
* Demonstrable experience using screen-capture tools including Camtasia
* Experience within Education and Training, or Learning & Development sectors desirable
* Experience of leading - and working within - successful projects and teams
* Experience in maintaining strong client focussed relationships
* Strong project management and organizational skills
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Up to 30% availability for overnight travel domestic and international
