Purpose:
Experienced talent to host live and recorded online video program segments.
Developing online following, excellent news judgment and a demonstrated ability to create compelling and watchable video content.
Keep our audience fully informed on stories that have global impact.
Set the editorial/creative direction for a series, and must have excellent writing skills.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Producing content segments along with a team of cinematographers, animators and graphic designers for online video series and programs.
Hosts live and recorded online video segments.
Providing editorial direction to various online video content streams.
Prepare scripts for various programs. Assist in finalizing scripts.
Be responsible for social media distribution and audience development of various content streams.
Manage external and internal field production.
Pitch story ideas and projects.
Essential skills required:
Sound editorial judgment of Global issues.
Ability to host online video programs.
A passion and commitment to the Alaraby spirit of content.
Sound leadership and communication abilities.
Ability to participate in meetings and discussions.
Ability to do work under tight pressure and deadlines.
Outstanding writing and video scripting ability.
An understanding of social media ecosystems.
Experience of preparing scripts for programs.
Hosting and presenting live and recorded online video segments.
Video editing skills: versed in Adobe Premiere and Photoshop.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor degree or equivalent.
5 years or more experience in Journalism.
