As a digital producer/ editor, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, you will help produce, grow content/ video channels on all our social media platforms - working with a small and dynamic team to concept, produce, light, film, and edit fun and interesting social video content.
The successful candidate will be results driven and thrive in a busy, fast paced environment and have the ability to communicate with senior management, colleagues as well as high profile guests and associates.
Digital Producer/Editor duties will include, but are not limited to:
• Edit a range videos for Islam Channel's YouTube, Twitter, Facebook pages etc based on our existing popular formats
• Produce and deliver multiple short-form videos on a weekly basis, stepping outside of the edit bay to get involved in the production of video
• Edit a wide range of original content including talking heads, challenge videos and episodic content as well as creating videos from stock-footage
• Edit skilfully and quickly using Premiere Pro
• Provide creative guidance for many different teams with many different business needs across many types of media: video, animation, visual design, photography, and audio design.
• Participate in brainstorms and collaborate with different members of the team
• Experiment and reiterate on past successes, and be interested in analysing the results of your work
• Apply video learning to inspire virality, potential new formats, and valuable integrations for branded partnership
• Work within the branded process, when applicable, including internal feedback and client feedback and revisions
• Schedule necessary resources internally and externally to achieve project objectives.
• Own editorial process from start to finish.
• Provide feedback and critique deliverables to maintain high-quality bar.
• Set best practice workflows & processes and ensure they are followed.
• Make sure that the assigned projects are produced to a high creative standard, delivered on time and within the agreed budget
• Keen attention to detail, and a willingness to strive for continual process improvement
• Highly developed organisational and planning skills - able to schedule and prioritise people and activities to meet operational deadlines
• Provide support and cover to other members of the team during peak work periods or resource shortfalls
• Accountable for ensuring compliance with Islam Channel and HR policies and guidelines

Skills:
Requirements:
• Significant experience working in social or digital video production
• Significant experience creating video content (portfolio/showreel is a must!)
• Ability to edit quickly and efficiently using Premiere Pro a must
• Proficiency in After Effects, Photoshop, etc. a plus
• Proven ability to operate Canon Cinema EOS range (C100, C300, etc) and Canon DSLR cameras, audio, and lighting equipment
• Experience of producing content and editing skills
• Ability to manage website content
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Well-organised, excellent time management skills, ability to prioritise workload, deal with conflicting demands and meet tight deadlines
• Energetic and adaptable, willing to learn, prepared to undertake non-core tasks as part of a small team
• Excellent team player with a positive, solution-focused approach
• Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office

Experience:
• 2+ years of video/media production experience.
• 2+ years of video/media post-production experience.
• 2+ years of animation and visual design experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Experience in Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, especially Premiere and After Effects, as measured by demo reel and/or examples of work.
• Working knowledge of video production equipment and process.
• Working knowledge of post-production process, workflow, and software.
• Working knowledge of project management software.
• Able to ensure consistency, accuracy and compliance with required broadcast standards
• Able to work effectively with other team members and independently with minimal supervision
• Troubleshooting and problem solving skills
Qualifications:
• Degree level or above
