The BBC National Orchestra and Chorus of Wales occupies a special role as both a BBC broadcast orchestra and the national symphony orchestra of Wales. The Orchestra is generously supported by the Arts Council of Wales and is proud to work with an outstanding group of conductors.

As one of the six BBC Orchestras and Choirs, the Orchestra has a busy schedule of recordings, broadcasts and concerts for BBC Radio 3, BBC Radio Wales, BBC Radio Cymru, BBC Films and BBC television.

The Producer will support the preparation and production of creative digital content. This role will contribute creative ideas, bringing the highest quality content production skills which may involve research, technical operations, audio, digital and interactive production activities.

This new role is a key part of BBC NOW's digital strategy supporting our strategic aim to bring BBC NOW to more people and more people to BBC NOW.

Role Responsibility
Your responsibilities will be across a developing area of work for the orchestra, curating, commissioning and creating a range of compelling digital content to communicate the breadth of our work, and bring new audiences to orchestral music.

You'll work across all our online platforms (website, social media, newsletters) to support our wider marketing, communications and audience development strategies, ensuring our brand is presented in a consistent, creative and engaging way, and reaches as wide a range of people as possible within Wales, the UK and internationally. You'll also work alongside colleagues across the BBC to connect with new digital developments, and creating content to feed into emerging platforms such as BBC wider YouTube and iPlayer.

The Ideal Candidate
The following criteria are essential for this position;

Demonstrable experience of creating live and pre filmed content such as live streamed events, videos, and photographs
Track record of project managing different digital projects and of meeting demanding deadlines
Proven success in devising and producing original ideas and formats and of developing innovative content for different platforms - both long and short form
Track record of establishing and nurturing internal and external partnerships and working relationships
Evidence of a commitment to diversity and of creating content to engage different communities across Wales
Ability to read music / scores to, or currently learning, and have experience of working with classical musicians, understanding their needs and the environment in which they are employed within the UK
