Overview of job
Come and join LBC, as we expand our digital offering across our market-leading apps and site.
We're looking for online journalists who live and breathe news. People who know their ERGs from their DUPs. As an all-rounder - you'll be a dab hand at writing, editing, curating, SEO, video and social media.

Covered multiple stories for LBC's website and social platforms

Built partnerships with multiple internal stakeholders in the London and regional newsrooms
Contributed towards LBC's digital readership targets
Responsibilities of the role
Write and distribute the news across our digital and social platforms, including desktop and mobile web, apps, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube.
Report news as it happens online with strong breaking news skills and generate web traffic through application of advanced social media showcasing skills.
Keep users up-to-date with the latest news stories.
Work with Global's Newsrooms across the UK to create digital version of their exclusive stories.
Formulate a well-rounded daily coverage plan that gives people the news that interests them.
Identify compelling, unique stories and user-generated content of interest to our audience.
What you will need
The ideal candidate will be proactive and willing to develop and implement innovative solutions, capable of the following:
Experience of working in a newsroom, though this position would suit entry level candidates or those with 1-2 years experience
All the skills needed to be an online journalist including legal training
This will require overnight and weekend work.
You'll be working from our London office, in Leicester Square when covid restrictions are lifted, with options for some days working from home
