Digital Media Developer

Southampton

Southampton Education School is a flourishing centre of international research and teaching excellence. It has a strong programme of initial teacher education including primary, secondary and post-compulsory PGCE, an undergraduate programme in Education Studies and a full portfolio of Masters and Doctoral degrees and professional development opportunities.

Over the last few years, the school has invested in a variety of digital media technologies to support the teaching and research in the School. The School has a small studio space equipped with lighting and green screen facilities; mid-range (4K) cameras and vision switching and streaming equipment; multi-track audio recording facilities; and high specification computers for video editing.

Working in collaboration with colleagues, you will have responsibility for:

Planning, designing and developing high quality e-learning resources

Supporting academic staff in the use of technology for research, teaching, learning and assessment

Operating video recording, audio recording and editing equipment

Maintaining specialist e-learning platforms and support academics' use of the university's Virtual Learning Environments

Maintaining records and paperwork as required
The role may occasionally require some work outside of normal operating hours of the University
