Development/Office Assistant

London

Caravan, a rapidly expanding indie with an international factual slate, is looking for a Development/Office Assistant.

The Development/Office Assistant will work closely with senior managers to coordinate diaries and meetings, will help run the office and be part of the development team.

The role will include development research, participating in brainstorms, helping with pitch documents, attending and helping set up shoots and cutting taster tapes. You will gain experience in the pitching processes to the UK, US and international TV markets, and the processes involved across development, production and post-production.

The role will include general office duties - to include booking travel and accommodation for TV markets, writing call sheets, coordinating work experience placements, petty cash handling, drive storage and media management, assisting with technical support and acting as a central point person for the teams working on Caravan's various productions.

You will be highly organised and happy to juggle multiple calls on your time in a very busy office. You will be the first point of contact for people getting in touch with Caravan from outside and the liaison for administrative support within the company. You will also have factual research skills, a passion for and knowledge of multi-platform TV, a thorough understanding of social media, and journalistic ambitions and interests. Shooting and editing skills would be hugely advantageous.
