Development Producer

London

This part-time role is for a self-employed Factual TV Development Producer or Senior Assistant Producer for a 2-month initial contract (with 3 week probationary period). We are looking for someone to work with us 3 days per week and we are flexible about how this could work (e.g. you may prefer to work five short days, or a mixture of half-days and full days, or three full days).
You will primarily be responsible for leading the development of specialist factual formats and documentaries for a media production client who is expanding their business into factual TV development in the UK and the U.S.
This role is an exciting opportunity to quickly build senior TV development experience, including pitching directly to commissioners in the UK and the U.S. The role will have a high degree of autonomy, but working within Blue Door's small, friendly team. There is also the potential opportunity for this to become a full-time role in the Autumn.
You will primarily work at the office of Blue Door at creative co-working spaces that we use in Hammersmith and in London Fields, E8.
This role may include short trips to the U.S., therefore eligibility to enter the U.S. is a requirement.
