Deputising for and assisting the Production Manager in providing technical support to ensure the safe and efficient operation, management and maintenance of Ministry of Sound's lighting, sound, video, broadcast and Special effects systems to high standard.

Key responsibilities:
• Ensure the safety of all staff and customers, especially with regard to the rigging, use and operation of technical show production elements
• Deputise for and Assist Production Manager in the management of Tech. staff and events
• Assist with financial planning and accounting, orders and purchasing
• Work within annual budgets for sound and light equipment
• Ensure a through knowledge of Ministry premises production systems and assist as required
• Develop and train in relevant management and technical skills towards production manager level
• Train & Develop Tech staff
• Maintain asset register
• Placing orders for lighting and sound equipment when required
• Stock maintenance of production consumables, spare parts and components
• Servicing and assisting with all audio and lighting equipment repairs
• Build and maintain relationships with relevant external supply companies
• Ensure the Sound system and show production is of the highest professional standard
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping at all times
• Engage with clients and talent directly in advancing of shows and events
• Assist with and operate all Club and Private Hire and Ministry events as required.
• Assisting in the advancing of events as required
• Assist with décor & rigging for our club events and external promoters
• Become proficient with our in house broadcast video platform
• Build and work to a maintenance schedule to ensure all production equipment is always operational.
• Delivering department objectives each quarter.
• Develop a forward thinking innovative and creative approach to show production, through meetings with promotions and management teams.
• Attend trade shows and venues to keep up with the industry's trends
• All other duties and tasks as agreed with management

Person specification:
• Good holistic awareness of Heath and Safety aspects of operating show production
• Experienced and competent in the operation of sound light and special effects systems
• Energetic and active approach to tasks
• Sense of good leadership but collaborative
• Has a good grasp of and loyalty to the mission
