We are looking for skilled, energetic and enthusiastic individual to help head up our news team in Chichester. Spirit FM covers the whole of West Sussex and this is a challenging but extremely rewarding role.

Just under half of people who live in our area tune into us every week - and our news output is a big part of that.
You may find yourself on-air or out on the road. So, you'll need a full driving licence and be able to produce snappy and memorable news stories.

Jobs like this are extremely rare and don't come around very often. Because of this we are looking for someone that can tick the following boxes:
Do you have an excellent newsreading voice, comfortable with broadcasting live news?
Can you write concise, compelling scripts, that grab the listeners' attention quickly?
Do you thrive on working in a fun but hardworking environment?
Do you know how to write for an online audience, and how to package it on social media to achieve maximum hits.
Your legal knowledge will be second to none.
You will be equally as capable of working in a team and working on your own, making key broadcast decisions.
You will need to prioritise and have excellent time management to meet tight deadlines.
Growing our digital and online audiences is a big part of what we do at Spirit FM so you'll need to be able to think creatively and 'outside the box'.

Knowledge and experience of using Burli newsroom software would be preferred, but not essential as full training will be given.
