Crew Coordinator - Emmerdale

ITV are looking to appoint a Crew Coordinator to support our Head of Crewing & Engagement, within one of our flagship dramas. This role carries the responsibility for the resourcing and scheduling of assigned crewing departments, including the payment and administration of staff and freelance crew working on Emmerdale.

This is a role that will require a very flexible approach to work and working hours. You will need to be available out of office hours including weekends, as you will be the first point of contact for crew in any emergency situations, which may involve organising and relaying late schedule changes.

As our Crew Coordinator we will look to you to produce departmental rosters and associated paperwork, taking into account current working agreements and working time regulations. You will manage our scheduling system ensuring all information entered into the system is complete and accurate and will produce/ analyse information in order to monitor staff utilisation levels. You will also need to source and introduce new freelance crew to Emmerdale negotiating rates as appropriate, as well as assisting with the training needs of your assigned departments.

You will be responsible for ensuring freelance contracts and payments are produced accurately and timely as required by our production schedule. You must have knowledge of all staffing procedures taking into account current working agreements and working time regulations.

The successful candidate will have a wealth of experience of working and dealing with people in a pressurised environment and to tight deadlines. You will possess great people skills and be able to adapt your approach with people, depending on the situation. You will also have a keen eye for detail and be confident with all IT packages. Due to the nature of the role absolute confidentiality is required. The role is challenging and you will need to identify and solve crewing issues within tight deadlines, using your own initiative. You will also be required to offer assistance and support to other Crew Coordinators working within the team.
