Creative Promotional Intern

London

Responsibilities

We are looking for a creative intern with bags of potential to join our award winning creative department. Their job will be to create Promos/Trailers, innovative concepts, copywriting and edits, across all media, to help promote our brands and programmes and contribute towards ratings. The Creative intern will work alongside both the Creatives and the Lead Creatives across the varied brand portfolio. Universal, Syfy, Movies24, and Studio.



Qualifications/Requirements

Exact accountabilities will vary between teams but key responsibilities of any Creative Promotional Intern will include:
- Supports in the process of creating and producing original and engaging promos promotional materials and interstitials according to a brief, timeline and budget as agreed.
- Input into projects from conceptualisation through the various stages of execution, to include: Research/ Copywriting/ Storyboarding/Producing audio post and voiceover direction. promos (including reversions and localising if required)
- Supports on the development of projects with the Lead Creative and Creatives throughout the production process.
- Is flexible in the role within the team and within the company, including the occasional working on marketing reels and other Off-Air work.
- Diligent about production paperwork, music reporting and adhering to the On-Air working practices.
- Communicates throughout the stages of production to the rest of the department and where necessary other departments within the company.
- Has the confidence to pitch and present ideas to the team.
- Listens to feedback constructively and acts on it - keen to improve own skills and abilities.
- Proactively offers creative ideas, where appropriate, as part of the creative development process.
- Is an engaged and enthusiastic team member, proactively sharing ideas and always committing to best practice.

Education & Qualifications
To join one of our 12 month Internships you'll be either studying a degree that allows you to take part in a 12 month placement (sandwich year) in industry or will be newly graduated. Studying a Media or Media related subject will be advantageous.

Essential
- A passion for television and popular culture in general.
- A clear understanding of current trends in the industry, on channel, social media.
- A real and genuine desire to go that extra mile. To break down the barriers of creativity across mediums, and win some awards in the process.
- Enthusiastic literate with an understanding and use of post-production, editing and audio design techniques.
- Creative thinker with the skills and imagination to think of and to help produce eye-catching promotions, shorts and interstitials.
- Good knowledge and understanding of post-production, editing and audio design techniques.
- The ability to work under pressure, to tight deadlines and within a prescribed budget
- Diligent about production paperwork, music reporting and adhering to the communications department working practices.
- Good interpersonal skills, both in contributing to the creative team and the overall On-Air team
- Good technical skills in the use of editing equipment.

Requirements
- Must be eligible to work in the UK without restriction for the duration of the internship
- Fluent English is essential; additional languages may be useful
