Al Jazeera English is looking for a Creative Producer to join its award winning Creative team based at its London Broadcast Centre.

As a Creative Producer you would be involved in the design and production of on-screen information graphics, both automated and bespoke, and work creatively within house-style guidelines to support overall branding. You would provide highly creative design solutions, which combine a genuine enthusiasm with a level headed approach to deadlines and budgets.

Considerable professional experience in broadcast graphics, animation or multimedia is required, with experience of a news environment advantageous. It is also essential that our Creative Producer has a good knowledge of current affairs. As a Creative Producer, you would be expected to support other team members in their development and to pro-actively direct and guide them in their Creative implementation. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate excellent team skills and an ability to keep calm under pressure.

Candidates will need a Bachelor Degree in a relevant design discipline, or equivalent experience. The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge of the After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator. Knowledge of Cinema 4D, VizRT and Premiere would also be advantageous.

The successful applicant will work a seven day fortnight shift pattern, and may be expected to work in any of our locations on work assignments. Occasional travel may also be required.

Job Purpose:
• The Creative Producer is responsible for developing graphics within set guidelines and ensuring the execution of branded material and content, special events graphics and imagery, as well as coordinating with other departments (News, Programmes, Web, and New Media etc.) to ensure compliance with Al Jazeera pre-set guidelines.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
• Design and production of on-screen information graphics both automated and bespoke using VizRT, Apple Mac and PC platforms (Adobe Creative Suite etc.).
• Creation of storyboards.
• Develop and communicate creative solutions, applying ideas for program packages and animation for TV, Print and Interactive projects for the channel.
• Coordinate with the creative team and directors to develop required graphics.
• Lead and support a team of Designers and Assistant Creative Producers through daily requests and deliverables.

Skills:
• Impeccable English language ability
• Strong attention to detail
• Good organisation skills
• Experience of design platforms both MAC and PC
• Team leadership skills

Knowledge:
• Excellent knowledge of After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator is essential.
• Knowledge of Cinema 4D, VizRT and Premiere would be advantageous.
• Good knowledge of 3D graphics.
• Basic knowledge of automating templates and data feed connectivity would be beneficial.
• Good knowledge of international news and current affairs.
• Excellent knowledge of contemporary graphic design techniques, practices, trends and software.
• Good knowledge of cross industry and technical advances.

Abilities:
• Able to effectively storyboard and communicate creative concepts.
• Able to creatively answer briefs, direct and guide other team members in their creation and implementation.
• Able to operate within a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines at short notice.
• Able to identify and mitigate risks.
