Creative Director

WHAT'S YOUR NEW ROLE ABOUT?
We're seeking a dynamic Creative Director with a passion for sport to manage and lead a team of Creatives in the UK with creative governance and direction of the wider global teams. You will lead the team to translate marketing briefs into brilliant, award-winning creative ideas that cut through and build our brand.
You will be confident interpreting all manner of multi-discipline marketing briefs from clip based promotions, digital, social, through to shoots. Your team will create and innovative, visually stunning work that tell stories and drive business performance.
You will create strong alignments and relationships with our stakeholders in particular Marketing and Programming teams across the business. Some international travel will be needed as part of this role.
Our Creative Services department is an in-house team responsible for bringing our communications / marketing briefs to life through creating and producing innovative, visually stunning, and effective creative that drive business performance across the group globally, with the largest client being DAZN. The department is a mix of Creatives, Designers and Production staff.
Regrettably, we are unable to provide sponsorship for this role so you must be eligible to work in the UK on a permanent basis - UK / EU citizen or ILR.
WHAT WILL YOU DO IN YOUR NEW ROLE?
Creative Direction
* Responsible for the delivery of all of creative campaigns, across all media - from copy, clip-based promotions to high end conceptual shoots.
* Conceptual thinking - The ability to explore and shape creative ideas and align them with strategic brand goals.
* Work alongside marketing to interpret briefs and support and enable the best work.
* Keep up to date with latest digital, edit and filming, production processes and technologies and disseminating to your team.
* Keep up to date with external competitors.
* Hold regular creative review sessions with your team.
* Support the production team to enable them to realise creative ideas efficiently and practically.
* Ensure all output is editorially accurate and technically compliant.
* Ensure all work delivered is compliant with relevant governing bodies.
Management
* Leadership of the DAZN creative team as part of Perform Creative.
* Create clear development and training plans for your team.
* Work as part of the leadership team to create and implement a team atmosphere and encouraging sharing of skills and knowledge.
* Recruiting top talent as required.
* Manage and implement the PDR Appraisal process for your team.
* To support and work through any performance issues within the team.
Stakeholder Management
* Build and maintain good relationships with key stakeholders within the business, in particular Marketing.
* Be an advocate for Creative Services in the wider business and externally.
Financial Management
* Work alongside HoP to bring the department in on budget and flag any risks.
DO YOU HAVE THESE ESSENTIALS TO BE CONSIDERED FOR AN INTERVIEW?
* Worked at Senior Creative Lead/Creative Head for a well-respected agency/ broadcast in-house creative department for high profile media brands.
* A passion and knowledge of sport.
* Experience in managing multiple complex integrated cross media campaigns, across video production, post production, social media, digital.
* Experience line managing Creative teams.
* A robust portfolio with up-to-date projects .
