We're looking for a Creative / In-House Director to join our growing Commercial Video Production Company. If you are creative and passionate about video content creation, then this role could be for you. You'll be working on video projects from the seed of an idea through final delivery, developing creative concepts, directing on shoots and working with editors on your finished films. Every day is diverse, every project is a fun new challenge and we believe in the whole team having a great work life balance. If you aren't going on shoots, then it's 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home. We don't stay late unless we have to and enjoy after-work outings to pubs in our local area.

What you'll actually be doing...

- Working with the pitch team to come up with creative video ideas for clients.
- Working with copywriters and storyboard artists to develop those ideas into fully fledged concepts.
- Planning and then going on video shoots - either directing or as lead creative.
- Working with editors and animators in post-production.
- Developing relationships with clients and helping to interpret their vision.
Working with the creative director and production team to make sure projects keep on track and deliver to client's expectations.

Key skills...

- You must be a people person - able to foster good relationships with clients and crew.
- You must be creative with an eye for a story.
- Experience of going on video shoots and directing crew.
- Experience working with editors + animators in post production.
- An understanding of how to plan your shoots within the limits of the available budget.
- Great at juggling multiple projects at one time.
- Good communicator. Enjoys being part of a team.

Key requirements:

- Clean UK driving licence.
- Must be willing to work 3 days a week in our office in Hackney. (2 days from home.)
- Must have at least 3 years work experience. Ideally in commercial video production.

3 month initial term with a view to extend.
