Continuity Production CoordinatorWhat you will doThe role would consist of and but not be limited to the below tasks. This is an evolving role and therefore this specification may evolve during the transition period.Transition projectBecome familiar with the current UKTV continuity processAssist the Project team, including COM and key business areas (tech & ops, media planning) to establish a new process for continuity production and delivery on the new playout provider, which will run alongside the existing provider during the transition periodAssist with the testing of the new playout system and production processesSupport the transition of existing voiceovers to the new system by completing entries as well as conducting data and audio checks to assess quality and accuracySupport the transition of new recordings back to the existing playout providerCo-ordinate the announcer recording schedules and booking the Farm facilities to support the transitionSupport the continuity producer with training UKTV colleagues in the new processes and systemsCarry out any additional duties associated with the transition as requiredAssist with creating the new live continuity process (for ad-hoc stunts) and support testing this on the new playout system (this will be after the initial transition to new playout)Ongoing responsibilities - production and delivery of continuity serviceSupport the Continuity Producer and COM in the Continuity service production, delivery, and outputProvide role cover for the Producer and COM in their absenceEnsure continuity is delivered accurately and timely, ongoing and for transition, to ensure a positive viewer experience across our channelsEnsure all necessary operational and editorial system checks are completed and accurateBe an additional liaison for voiceover operational issues and queries and resolving them timely and accurately.Be an additional superuser of continuity operating systems Barrcode and scheduling system What's OnComplete data entry as and when this is requiredComplete system audio checks as and when these are requiredOversee the payment cycle for announcers and other suppliers to the continuity team through the company invoice management system. Ensure key budget owners are notified when required.Be motivated, proactive and solution-focused, working quickly to resolve issuesBe flexible to changing priorities and demands on continuity playoutComplete additional duties as requiredCollaborationHarness team spirit across UKTV by collaborating with colleagues across the business in to deliver a successful on-going serviceAssist with training UKTV continuity colleagues in continuity systems and processesEnsure communication between stakeholders and key parties is timely, accurate, and informativeAssist the wider media planning team with key initiatives and projectsVoiceover managementManage the announcer recording schedule, working closely with the Farm and creative team in booking of the Farm facilitiesIssue schedules to key stakeholders as well as communicate and updates or changes in good timeEnsure that recordings are complete and delivered to the playout system, all necessary checks are madeBe an additional liaison for voiceover operational issues and support the continuity producer to ensure that recording requests, changes or missing items are resolved.Support the continuity team by managing schedule changes and changes as a result of unforeseen event that might change continuity, as well as support further actions required e.g. re-records and bookings, data or audio checks etcSupport the management of new announcer searches and casting process from original initial brief to on-air playoutEnsure talent has a positive experience of working with UKTVBe an additional out of hours/emergency contact for continuity with the continuity producerOnce set up, assist the occasional management of live continuity if requiredContribute to script writing as and when requiredIn ad hoc special circumstances be prepared to carry out voiceovers if necessary.Who you areKey skills and experience to also includeUnderstanding of Ofcom and compliance regulationsA proactive member of the team who is solutions focused, meticulous, self-motivated and has a flexible approach to workA good communicator and problem-solver who can work with multiple teams and forge positive relationshipsStrong attention to detail and accuracyMust be comfortable in a dynamic environment with constantly changing priorities. Needs to be able to multitask.Passionate about Continuity and UKTV and be familiar with our brands
