Content Producer

London

The Digital team is based in the Communications department, helping us to become a growing Church for all people and for all places.

As Content Producer, you will work within the Church's Digital team, bringing to life our digital priorities which are focused on bringing people to faith, growing people's faith and sharing the good work of local churches.

With a passion for delivering inspiring and high-profile digital campaigns, you will develop videos, imagery, graphics and audio content using original and engaging formats and managing projects, from concept to delivery.

Developing and maintaining visual identity guidelines and resources, you will ensure that creative and engaging digital content is available, accessible and used effectively.

As well as being a creative thinker, highly motivated and confident in delivering our priorities, you will have a flexible approach and the ability to travel across the country to produce content from different dioceses, churches and other Church of England organisations.

This is a fixed term role expected to last for two years.

Interviews will be held on the 4th June 2019.

The Role :

Deliver a range of high-profile digital campaigns on behalf of the Church. Develop creative videos, imagery, graphics and audio content to meet identified audience needs using original and engaging formats.
Manage and lead projects to develop creative content, with responsibility for scoping, managing internal and external stakeholders and delivery.
Project manage major on-location filming events (such as Christmas) including managing freelancers, budgets and negotiating costs to ensure an effect return on investment.
Develop and maintain a consistent set of visual identity guidelines for both the Church of England and wider NCIs (as required), ensuring digital and print assets are available that meet the organisation's needs.
Produce dedicated social media content for the Church of England, ensuring that the values of the Church are upheld online.
Responsible for video and graphics training throughout the Communications department and wider Church (where relevant). This may also include some diocesan training across the country.
Create resources for dioceses, parishes and churches to participate in national campaigns and mark events.
Assist in creating engaging content to support the national Church of England, Archbishops and A Church Near You websites, ensuring they remain a gateway for people to discover more about the Christian faith.
Evaluate analytics and statistics from digital campaigns to ensure resources are being used appropriately to support the mission and strategy of the Church of England.
Work with the Communications department to ensure video, graphic and audio content is used effectively to manage our key messaging, enhance our reputation and to respond quickly and decisively to counter any inaccurate or potentially damaging comments.
Monitor the Church of England social media profiles as part of the team rota.
Staff Management and Supervision

You may be required to manage external agencies, contractors and freelancers as well as provide informal management to other employees of the NCIs.
The requirements :

Essential

Knowledge/Experience:

Creativity:

Creative thinker who can generate and develop ideas for both bigger campaigns and projects and quicker turnaround pieces that respond to daily requests.
Passion for social media and understanding of how to produce content in different aspect ratios and formats including Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and YouTube and emerging platforms.
Videos:

Experienced in telling stories with a focus on inspiring using the best content production techniques.
Professional experience of the Adobe Creative Suite, with proficiency in Premiere, After Effects, Illustrator and Photoshop. Experience with Da Vinci Resolve and Pro Tools is a plus.
Experience in creating storyboards and video briefs.
Familiarity with DSLR and mirrorless cameras alongside more advanced equipment such as the Blackmagic Ursa.
Confident in creating basic lighting set ups for interviews.
Knowledge and experience in capturing audio, setting up shotgun and lapel microphones and audio mixing.
Video edit to a high standard using Adobe Premiere.
Knowledge and experience of the colour grading process.
Confident in exporting videos and graphics in the right aspect ratio, codec and format.
Experience in taking professional photos.
Graphics:

Undertake mid-range animation and motion/static graphics tasks. A strong understanding of design, typography, composition and colour grading. You can create and modify graphic templates created with After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator.
Experience in design for print works and stationary is a plus.
General:

Strong project management and organisation skills.
Experience in delivering projects on time and in budget.
Experience managing freelancers.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work in a small core team, and as part of a wider team during certain events.
Ability to work under pressure during busy periods.
Excellent IT skills with Microsoft Office and other industry standard applications.
A good understanding of working in a digital environment.
An awareness and understanding of the Christian faith.
Good attention to detail.

Able to travel across the country to produce content from different dioceses, churches and other Church of England organisations.

To be a practising Christian, either long-standing or a more recent commitment to faith.
