Supersets is an innovative scenery construction company, specialising in film and television, pop promos, commercials, events and high end visual merchandising. We are seeking an exceptional Construction Coordinator to join our team. We are currently in an exciting period of growth and the successful candidate will play a vital role in the next stage of development.The Construction Coordinator will be responsible for leading on the build and design of our scenery construction projects and overseeing all works produced in the workshop. We are looking for an individual with extensive scenic construction experience and the ability to lead and manage teams of freelance carpenters and painters across multiple projects.The ability to work independently and to communicate effectively with others so as to provide and receive required information is vital for this role, as is having a proactive and driven approach to work. KEY RESPONSIBILITIESConstruction CoordinatorTo work closely with the Project Manager to coordinate complex projects as one of the first points of contact for clients, staff, subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget to an exceptional standard. To create comprehensive CAD drawings of scenic elements using Vectorworks. To ensure adequate written records of all agreements with clients are maintained while projects are ongoing. To represent Supersets at client meetings and recces.Workshop ManagementTo supervise the crew chiefs and subcontractors in the workshop, ensuring workshop rules are adhered to at all times. To monitor employee and subcontractor timekeeping and to be responsible for addressing persistent lateness with the individuals involved. To carry out building and equipment inductions for new members of staff and subcontractors, completing skills checklists to verify levels of experience and competency.To be responsibility for quality control of the works produced by team members and to address any issues that may arise in relation to this. To complete regular stock checks of workshop materials and ensure adequate levels of stock materials are maintained at all times.To ensure regular maintenance checks are carried out on all workshop machinery. Costing and BudgetingTo provide accurate and comprehensive quotations to new and existing clients using the Supersets in house system and via our cloud based financial system. To monitor and control project budgets to ensure works are delivered within budget, maximising profit margins, and regularly reporting back to the Company Director.To order equipment and materials, keeping detailed records of all project expenditure.To raise, record and send out sales invoices to clients.Health & SafetyIn conjunction with the Company Director and Operations Manager to help devise, develop and implement policies for ensuring safe working within the workshop and on location. To undertake risk assessments and method statements and ensure compliance with relevant Health and Safety legislation.To help ensure tidiness and safety within the workshop and off site locations.
