We are looking for a Company Stage Manager for the national tour of the new comedy Octopus Soup! which will open in Coventry as a co-production with The Belgrade Theatre. Rehearsals begin on 2nd January and the production will then tour number one venues until 4th May.

This is a five hander, one set play and will tour with two ASM Understudies who will deal with Wardrobe and props. This is a tight team so we are looking for a Company Stage Manager who will be on the book and operating sound.

Responsibilities will include:
* Being rehearsal DSM from 2nd January for three weeks in London and one week in Coventry prior to Tech Week.
* Creating the book and maintaining it for easy take-over.
* Operating sound on Q Lab.
* Liaising with Stage Management team at The Belgrade to prepare tech riders for venues on tour.
* Communicating with tour venues in preparation for arrival, get in, get out etc.
* Organising and supervising Get in and Get out at venues working with resident crew and show ASMs.
* Working with resident venue LX team to implement Lighting Designer's work.
* Organising and running Understudy rehearsals to provide suitable cover.
* Representing Simon Fielder Productions at venues and managing good relations between theatres and the producer.
* Liaising and managing publicity and marketing arrangements with venues and producer's marketing team.
* Pastoral care of actors and show production team.
* Liaising with the director and creative team to achieve and maintain the artistic vision of the show in all venues.

Candidates need experience of weekly Number One touring at DSM level as an absolute minimum and preferably at CSM level. We are looking for a confident, sociable team player who is an organised planner and strong communicator who we hope will have a long relationship with this production which we intend to tour again.

Tour: £775.50pw; travel allowance: £150; subsistence: £250.
