Racecourse Media Group (RMG) is a broadcast media company owned by 37 UK racecourses. It broadcasts live horseracing on satellite and cable in the UK and distributes racing content to a range of national and international partners to maximise the media rights value (both by revenue & reach) to shareholders. RMG has recently acquired the rights to Irish racing and Chelmsford City from 1 January 2019.Working as part of a successful and dynamic team in Central London an exciting opportunity has arisen to join RMG as Commercial Manager. The key focus of the role will be the day to performance management of RMG's successful streaming business and supporting the Director of Betting on other key revenue lines including LBO and tracking. Key Responsibilities• Work with the Director of Betting to develop and implement RMG's bookmaker strategy, specifically in relation to streaming, LBO and tracking strategy. • Responsibility for weekly KPI and revenue analysis of all streaming, LBO and tracking activity as required. • Responsibility for regular external and internal analysis and reporting. • Work with the Director of Betting to identify and deliver new commercial revenue opportunities.• Day to day business development and customer account management responsibility for streaming, LBO and tracking. • Work with the Director of Betting to manage and developing bookmaker relationships at the appropriate client senior executive level, specifically UK & Ireland facing bookmakers. • Day to day responsibility for departmental revenue, marketing and operational budgets.• Maintain a strong understanding of the gambling market and technologies to support client solutions and the development of RMG's business. Essential requirements/Qualifications • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint and presentation skills • Educated to Degree Level• Strong business acumen, a high level of diplomacy, excellent management capability with a high attention to detail • Excellent planning, organisational and relationship management skills • UK and international overseas travel is required in this role. Approximately 45 days per annum.Required Skills/ Experience • Experience in managing budget and revenue reporting processes (preferred). • Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills (essential). • Relevant prior experience of working in the gambling/sports media industry (preferred). • An interest in sport (specifically horseracing) and sports betting. • Demonstrate a strong work ethic and the desire to succeed in a fast paced environment.
