Fantastic opportunity to join Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden as our new Colourist.

We are seeking a highly creative individual with proven successful track record within the post production industry and preferably holds many professional colour grading award nominations and wins.

Primary Purpose of the Job

De Lane Lea specialises in post-production for feature films and television. The state of the art facilities and talented staff allow De Lane Lea to shape content to extraordinary levels of detail and creativity. The facilities include 4K HDR colour grading facilities, six networked dubbing theatres, social area, preview theatre, content handling and 50 cutting rooms in the heart of Soho.
The Colourist is responsible for digital colour correction for a wide range of scripted Television entertainment and a selection of Feature Film projects. The Colourist works directly with clients using learned skills, creative ability and technological resources to interpret the cinematographer's intent and vision within the structure of the producer's needs and the ultimate delivery requirement. This position's primary responsibility is ensuring client satisfaction and contributing to the creative process of film making. Working with the colourist team, the position also contributes to the development and implementation of digital workflows of new and emerging technologies.

Accountabilities


Engaging with potential new clients and attracting them into the facility.
Bringing new clients to the facility and maintaining growing a solid client base and following
Working directly with clients using learned skills, creative ability and technological resources to interpret the cinematographer's intent and vision within the structure of the producer's needs and the ultimate delivery requirement.
Being a key contributor to the creative process of making scripted television and feature films.


The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the following:


Proven experience of colour grading to a professional standard
Established key relationships with directors, producer's, picture editors and other key film making talent.
Strong interpersonal skills; ability to interface with clients regularly and maintain excellent working relationships.
Must be able to work independently with little to no supervision.
Credible track record and tangible list of industry credits
Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills with the ability to create an immediate rapport with a range of contacts
Excellent client relation skills and professional profile within the industry
Ability to understand client needs and priorities by questioning in a diplomatic manner
To be sensitive to the differing needs of clients and staff
To be a team builder and works efficiently as part of a team
Ability to apply creative license to work.
Ability to prioritise and have excellent organisational skills
Ability to remain calm and effective in difficult situations
Patience, self-discipline and reliability
Willingness to work long and irregular hours
A logical and fast approach to problem solving
Precise attention to detail
Resilient, tenacious, flexible, diplomatic, committed with strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to get involved
Numerate with good basic level maths, able to remain accurate under stress
Computer Literate and experienced using computer packages
Familiarity with Conditions of Service, Contract of Employment, Health and Safety and their impact on staff.
