Chief Editor

Leeds

WHAT'S YOUR NEW ROLE ABOUT?

This role is a customer facing position, overseeing the look and feel of the platform. DAZN produces innovative live and original content for the Canadian market. Using our production facility in Leeds (UK), we create live and supporting content for our growing rights portfolio that includes properties such as the NFL, PGA, MLS, La Liga, Serie A, Ligue 1, PAC-12, WTA, ATP-250, KHL and many more.

As the Chief Editor of DAZN Canada, you will have technical acumen paired with significant editorial knowledge. You will be responsible for maximizing performance and ensuring a superior viewer experience. Curation of content and quality control are key elements of this role. Another vital component is working with Executive Producers and Program Planners to organize and schedule matches and programming on the DAZN platform.

This is a role unique to a OTT platform since you will be curating live and non-live contents in a non-linear way. However, it is similar to the likes of a Chief Editor of a Sports Website, Newspaper or magazine, Chief Editor of a Sports news or magazine show or a Channel controller of a sports channel, but with a twist because we are not looking for a person that fits the traditional model but someone who is innovative and has the passion of being a pioneer and develop the role as we move forward.

You will report to the Head of Programming (DAZN Canada) and will manage a team of CMS editorial staff and program planners.

Regrettably, we are unable to provide sponsorship for this role so you must be eligible to work in the UK on a permanent basis - UK / EU citizen or ILR.
