The Content and Channel Management Team within BBC Children's is currently looking for a Channel Management Assistant for a 2 month contract to assist with administrative tasks during a busy period. Please note this role is to commence immediately.

Main Responsibilities

Providing general administration support to the Content and Channel Management Team.
Data cleansing in the What's On planning and scheduling system.
Updating the slate.
Assisting with the payments for repeats.

The Ideal Candidate

Strong IT Skills; experience of Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Database Management Systems is essential. Whilst an excellent working knowledge of the following BBC databases; What's On, SAP, PRS and My Business/Business Objects, is highly desirable.
Excellent attention to detail and experience of managing and entering large volumes of information into databases.
Strong previous administrative experience is essential.
Any understanding or previous experience of the Commissioning, Finance and Schedule processes and systems operating at the BBC would be advantageous.
Experience of managing finance and business information, and the ability to produce and analyse business information on a regular basis.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to establish rapport with different areas of the business.
An interest in BBC programmes but particularly Children's genre is also desirable.
