This role entails...
We are looking for a motivated and experienced administrator to provide administrative support to the Casting Director and Assistant Casting Director on 'Coronation Street.' Excellent attention to detail and accuracy is essential in this role as is absolute discretion with regard to the sensitive information held by the department.
Key Responsibilities
-Checking and pencilling actors' availability with agents.
-Pulling scenes from scripts ready for auditions.
-Setting up auditions and/or self tape requests.
-Downloading/ uploading/ editing audition tapes.
-Running auditions (meeting and greeting).
-Drawing up contracts on the ITV artist contracting system on occasion.
-Booking extras on occasion
-Cover for other members of the casting department when on annual leave.
What do I need to get this role/job?
Minimum criteria
-Minimum of 2 years administrative experience (ideally in either TV, theatre, film or Arts organisation, however this is not essential)
-Minimum of 5 GCSEs (Including English and Maths)
-High level of competency on Google mail and google docs (sheets/docs/slides)
-High level of competency on Word and Excel (setting up and supporting spreadsheets)
-Experience dealing with highly confidential information/material
-Ability to use tact and diplomacy, maintaining complete discretion at all times
-Flexible attitude to working hours and able to work afternoons rather than mornings when needed (with notice). The hours are Predominantly morning but need to be flexible to work in the afternoon instead of morning sometimes. Occasional full time holiday support.
-Keen attention to detail

Key Criteria:
-Using initiative, ability to work undirected and flexibly
-Knowledge of Dropbox and IMovie is desirable
-Knowledge of Spotlight is advantageous
-Strong organizational skills with a systematic approach to working
-A proactive approach to ensure task completion
-Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
-Strong team player
-Good time management skills with the ability to work unsupervised
