We have an exciting opportunity for a Camera Assistant to join our Camera team on Hollyoaks. Our Camera Assistants are responsible for maintaining the camera equipment such as lenses, filters and matte boxes as well as assembling the camera and it's accessories. The successful candidate will possess experience of working in a television environment and will be able to follow instructions from the Director of Photography or Camera Operator to adjust lenses and pull focus. They will already have a good all-round knoweldge of cameras and all related equipment.



SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:



Media related degree or NVQ level 3 (or higher) qualification preferable
Production Health and Safety qualification
Manual Handling Certification
Experience of working with cameras in a professional environment
Experience of working within in television production
Experience of working as part of a team
Good technical knowledge in relation to camera interconnections and associated terminology
Knowledge of the technical operation of recorders/camcorders and replenishing of recordable media and setting of time code
Experienced in handling and first line maintenance of high end professional broadcast equipment
Knowledge of television production
Knowledge of Health and Safety appertaining to camera assisting and operating
Good interpersonal/organisational skills
Ability to use own initiative and work unsupervised
Ability to work as part of a team
Good manual handling skills (including physical ability to undertake full range of duties)
Normal colour vision
Clean driving licence
Professional and confidential approach
Enthusiastic, flexible and proactive
Friendly and positive approach to all tasks
A keen interest in and enthusiasm for television production
