Broadcast Scheduler

Timeline Television is looking to recruit a Broadcast Scheduler to work across a portfolio of projects in Central London. This is a client facing administrative role and you will be booking staff and coordinating resources through the Xytech MediaPulse scheduling system. You must be available to start work in July.
MAIN DUTIES
As a key point of contact for our clients:
You will be responsible for booking staff and contractors in a variety of technical support roles using the Xytech MediaPulse scheduling system.
You will coordinate resources, and distribute information (schedules, rota's, call sheets etc.) to ensure that our broadcast support services run smoothly.
You will be proactive in resolving issues, and in escalating problems to the Timeline management team.
You will support Timeline's financial processes by maintaining accurate records, tracking costs, raising purchase orders, checking invoices and billing projects.
You will assist with the hire and purchase of broadcast equipment and consumables as required.
You will generate quotes and raise purchase orders as required.
You will arrange staff training days, shift shadowing and quality control procedures for new freelance staff.
Expand our freelancer lists and assist with the induction of new staff and contractors.
Ensure that all personal data is managed to the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).
Provide general administrative support and financial oversight as required.
Above is just a brief outline of duties, however this can change due to business requirements. You may be given additional projects and workloads from the management, and you will be expected to comply with all reasonable requests.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
You must be able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
You must have strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.
You must have excellent communication skills (email, telephone and face to face).
Should be comfortable with financial administration.
Should be customer-focused, with previous experience in a customer facing role.
Should have a proactive and enthusiastic approach to work.
Previous experience in a staff scheduling or resource allocation role is desirable.
Previous experience of Xytech MediaPulse, or a similar resource scheduling system (eg ScheduALL, Provys or Farmers Wife) is desirable.
Some previous knowledge of working in a broadcast environment (post production, studio production, outside broadcast or channel management) is preferred.
Experience of dealing with budgets and financial spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel).
Demonstrate tact and sensitivity when dealing with other cultures.
Able to react tactfully and sympathetically to requests from staff and clients.
Able to answer occasional phone calls outside of standard office hours if required.
Able to remain calm under pressure.
