Summary
We are looking for a talented on-screen self-shooting journalist to join our Local TV family to serve audiences across our TV, web and social channels. You will be passionate about local storytelling, and be able to bring the biggest stories to life through video, text and pictures. You will be a genuinely multi-skilled video journalist with a passion to tell stories through your shooting, editing, researching and reporting skills. You must be confident in your ability both in front of and behind the camera.
Key Skills & Requirements
A passion for local storytelling
Creative, confident and committed
Detailed knowledge of news, current affairs and social trends
Strong understanding of what audiences want from news on all platforms
Reporting/presenting experience
Ability to create video to bring stories to life
Experience using broadcast or mobile filming equipment
Excellent writing skills
A sound understanding of legal, ethical and regulatory considerations
Strong editorial judgement
Ability to come up with fresh and engaging ideas that resonate with local people
A journalism qualification or exceptional ability in content creation
Able to work with minimum supervision in a fast-paced daily news environment
A willingness to learn new skills in the face of regular change
Digital publishing experience
A clean UK driving licence
