GT&O builds, implements and maintains the business systems and technology that are critical for delivering Discovery's products, while articulating the long-term technology strategy that will enable Discovery's growing pay-tv, digital terrestrial, free-to-air and online services to reach more audiences on more platforms.

The Role:
The Broadcast Engineer - MAM and Post Production will be part of the ACS Team (Automation and Content Solutions) for managing the global technical platform and common workflows in Europe.
Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities include:
Analyzes technical designs
Change management
Communicate on new workflow, functionalities
For the MAM, Post-Production and Instant Replay, you will be responsible for:
Workflows design request
Following technology intelligence to permanently keep the system efficient for business growth
Partner with Network & Security teams - in-house or external to ensure the Platform Integration
Proactively handle day-to-day efficient workflows between all the needs across Europe and during large sports event
Manage the technology intelligence to permanently keep the system efficient for business growth
Work with operational and editorial team to communicate on new workflows
Requirements
Basic qualifications:
Degree in Technology, or similar
Previous Broadcast Technology experience
Experience in MAM and Post Production environment
Extensive Broadcast technical background (IP video 2110, audio management, video formats, ingest/export content)
Good understanding of IT technologies (network, AWS environment, virtualization, API, Micro services, Storage, Cloud services, security)
Strong and consistent customer service and communication skills
Willingness to work a flexible schedule
Strong team member with self-motivation and desires to improve the infrastructure
Excellent troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills
Minimal travel anticipated for this position
Preferred qualifications:
Media industry experience
English speaking needed and French optional
