Brazilian-Portuguese Speaking Documentary film-maker/video ethnographer (self-shooter & editor)

London and Brazil

We are looking for documentary-makers or video ethnographers (self-shooter/editors) fluent in Brazilian-Portuguese for a social research project. It is vital that you have a genuine interest in learning about people and culture, and an observational style of film-making. It is essential that you are fluent in Brazilian as we will need you to conduct filmed ethnographic interviews in Brazil (Sao Paolo and/or Recife) and edit the interviews in that language back in our London office. You must also be fluent in English, and you must be a competent editor (Adobe Premiere Pro). Previous ethnographic/social research experience is very desirable. UK based candidates are preferred, as editing will take place at our office in London. This is an exciting opportunity to explore women identity in Brazil, including (but not limited to) their home care and personal care routines.

Fieldwork in Brazil is likely to take place late November [dates TBC] preceded by a briefing [date TBC]
Editing in London will follow thereafter
Approx. 4-5 weeks of work
