Radiant Post is looking to recruit a friendly, enthusiastic and attentive Avid Technical Assistant. This will be a 5 month contract which potentially could become a permanent role. The ideal candidate will have previous experience of AVID edit assisting and at least two years experience of working in a busy post production facility (at least one of those as a tech assistant).

Job Description:

You will be required to provide tech support to our 24 AVID offlines, online suites and remote edits, problem solving any issues as they arise and ensuring excellent communication with the Bookings department.

Working onsite carrying out transfers, conforms and creating client deliverables.

Carrying out technical checks on masters.

Encoding all kinds of files (QT's, WMV's, Mpegs etc.) via Avid Adobe, Media Encoder & DaVinci Resolve.

Digitising/Ingesting and conforming from various tape and tapeless formats.

Maintaining and carrying out administrative tasks on the Editshare.

Knowledge:
The applicant will need to have proven skills in the following areas:
Experience with Avid AMA tapeless workflows
File export and encoding
AVID installs and maintenance
Tape Duplication from HDcam, HDcam SR and others
File Delivery to DPP Spec (AS-11 & Vidcheck)

Skills:
We are currently fully booked and need someone who can hit the ground running. They will need to work quickly but accurately and be able to hit tight deadlines. There will be long hours but you will be rewarded with a friendly team and the opportunity to learn.

It is essential that the candidate has the relevant industry experience and is able to start ASAP. Candidates straight out of university will not be considered.
