The Royal Armouries cares for one of the world's oldest museum collections in the world, which continues to grow in new and exciting ways today. This post will support our exhibitions and displays across our three sites, at our flagship museum in Leeds, at our historic home in the Tower of London, and at the Victorian Fort Nelson in Hampshire.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and confident technician to play a key role in providing AV solutions for the film, digital and sound installations in our public galleries. If that's you, then you will be responsible for the set-up, operation and trouble-shooting of our screens, presentation hardware, and audio systems throughout the museum. You will also support the network management of the museum's gallery-based systems.
Substantial experience of working with a range of interactive technologies and AV displays, ideally in a museum environment, will be essential to this role. Equally important will be a good working knowledge of electronics, AV equipment and ICT systems. The role will be primarily based at the Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds, with work in the other two Royal Armouries sites being required from time to time.
Based in Leeds, working full time (37.5 hours per week) 5 days out of 7, Occasional weekend, Bank Holiday and evening working may be required.
