We are seeking an Audio Visual Team Leader to supervise, manage and support the Museum's Audio Visual (AV) team and ensure the delivery of a high level of service supporting AV technologies throughout the Museum for the Clore Education Centre (CEC), galleries, exhibitions, meeting rooms and Samsung Digital Discovery Centre (SDDC).

Key areas of responsibility:

To work as part of the Museum's AV support team to deliver services across the Museum
To work closely with users to identify and satisfy their requirements. To scope out and advise departments about AV technologies and solutions in line with requirements for galleries and exhibitions
To specify and purchase equipment and services; dealing with technical consultants and providers
As required, to undertake small work assignments evaluating new software or hardware, or other potential AV technology innovation

Person specification:

Educated to degree level, or with equivalent experience, you will have strong knowledge of ICT and AV equipment, including setup, configuration and support. With experience of working in a structured support environment, you will be knowledgeable in evaluating and configuring new AV technologies.

As an excellent communicator, you will be able to successfully work with colleagues at all levels and explain complex technical issues in an easy-to-understand manner. You will remain calm under pressure and will be able to respond flexibly in reactive situations and prioritise according to agreed frameworks.
