CNN.com Video Associate Producers gather content and support programming duties in a fast paced environment for CNN Digital. Associate Producers for video will help find compelling Web video, pitch content to the editorial team and get an opportunity to learn more about the digital business. They will be working with the whole of CNN.com's editorial operation in Atlanta, New York, London and Hong Kong.

What you'll be doing:

Produce, edit and publish video content on CNN.com and across all associated digital platforms using CNN's Content Management System. This includes creating high quality images, headlines, and descriptions for video and placement on CNN.com
Work closely with the various CNN Newsgathering operations and show teams to identify the best and most relevant video content for the site
Utilize in-house and non-CNN resources to produce content that resonates with the CNN Digital audience, while adhering CNN Standards and Practices and Legal guidance
Actively pitch content ideas to the editorial team and provide feedback to team members in a collaborative group setting
Help ensure CNN.com Video is in sync with the editorial and content direction of CNN and network wide initiatives
Help program the CNN.com main page, stories, sections fronts, mobile and OTT platforms
Assist with CNN digital live streams and write accurate headlines and descriptions for those events

What we're looking for:

Essential:
At least 1-2 years of experience working in a news production environment.
Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro or similar non-linear editing system.
Basic news writing and video editing skills.
A familiarity with web video and social media sites.
Individuals must be motivated, self-starters who can collaborate with others in a fast-paced, pressure filled news environment.
They must have strong editorial judgment and time management skills and be able to work independently with limited supervision as well as within a group and between CNN departments across all networks.
Associate Producers will be asked to work under tight deadline pressure, so it is important that they can multi-task and communicate effectively with team members as well as various internal resources.
This individual will be detail oriented with the ability to adapt to new technologies and procedures.
They must be able to think like a producer and have the ability to perform basic video editing and program production tasks such as fonting and writing on a daily basis.

Desirable:

Familiarity with Web publishing and production tools and/or Content Management Systems
News Video production (scripting, pkg production) a plus, but not required
Familiarity with the CNN production systems, media operations and content management systems (iNews, MIRA, Mediasource)
Degree preferred with course work/major emphasis on communications, TV/Web production, journalism, new media or mass media studies.
Equivalent work experience in web design, journalism, and/or business may be considered in lieu of a degree.
