We are looking for a passionate and motivated Associate Producer to be part of the Amanpour show team. Your main focus will be on supporting on editorial cuts to pre-taped interviews, producing show assemblies and segment production. The Associate Producer will write to our industry famous standards and have a great knowledge of current events on a global scale.

Areas of responsibility:

Ensuring we have the highest possible quality in pre-recorded interviews.
Preparing all pre-recorded interviews alongside an Editor to ensuring they are ready to be aired. This includes making editorial cuts, presenting the interview in the best light visually and coding and fonting the pages in inews.
Show assembly - work with an editor to assemble the shows and provide to Master Control.
Edit any "show fixes" to make sure the repeats of programmes are correct and up to date, in addition to delivering them to Master Control.
Support the editorial team in writing, segment production and research.
Identify and contribute ideas for guest segments
On occasion, this person will be expected to operate in the field, assisting like and pre-taped productions.

Knowledge and experience required:

Essential:

A real passion and understanding of international news and current affairs.
Proven experience in show production, including control room.
Ability to build great relationships and have a real want and drive to learn.
Great communication and organisational skills.

Desirable:

Familiarity with Finalcut Pro and Adobe Premier Pro.
Experience of I-News and Mediasource.
Field production and guest booking experience.
Knowledge of CNN Operations
