The Discovery team own BBC Children's relationship with the audience. We cover everything from Presentation to publishing on our TV Channels, CBeebies and CBBC, as well as iPlayer. We oversee Children's digital platforms for 0-16s, including Newsround and our suite of CBeebies apps for our youngest audience, as well as our growing YouTube portfolio and social media channels. We're responsible for working closely with programme-makers, Design & Engineering and the wider BBC to ensure our brilliant content and products reach as big an audience as possible.
The 'Live' area of Discovery produces topical and relevant content for CBBC and CBeebies television channels and its other platforms. The CBeebies House team make content for Television and other platforms. The content is made in the CBeebies House studio with a variety of presenters. The production team works very closely with various stakeholders to create content to promote the key CBeebies brands.

Role Responsibility
The Assistant Producer role is a key part of the team. APs work in the studio and occasionally on location, writing and directing engaging and entertaining content for continuity links plus short junction content. They are responsible for all aspects of bringing ideas to screen, working with the wider team to organise props, create simple graphics and editing clips to be used within links.
Are you the right candidate?
You will have a clear understanding of the needs and profile of the CBBC and CBeebies audience and the ability to translate these into imaginative and compelling ideas, whilst considering the constraints governing suitability of content.
You will have the ability to create and innovate content ideas for Presentation from concept to delivery.
You will be excellent scripting, structuring and story-telling skills and strong editorial judgement.
You will have demonstrable experience of working in a studio environment.
Self-shooting skills are advantageous but not essential.
You will have the ability to demonstrate visual flair and good storytelling techniques.
You will have good planning and organising skills. And the ability to concentrate on several areas of work at one time, prioritising, delivering consistently to deadlines and reacting positively to changes and conflicting priorities.
You will have experience of multi-camera studio directing and working in a live studio environment.
The ability to use Photoshop, PowerPoint, Premiere Pro and Final Cut is also desirable.
