Following an inaugural event last summer jam-packed, CBBC Summer Social returns for 2019 with a new name - BBC Summer Social offering and even bigger and better programme than ever encompassing some of the BBC's best programmes for the whole family.Welcoming up to 25,000 visitors across the two days, the family festival returns to the picturesque setting of Croxteth Country Park, Liverpool on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th August 2019.Expect a line-up jam packed with a whole host of live performances, special guests and shows from across the BBC, with live broadcasts across TV, radio and online.New for 2019 will see a split in the programme across the two days, with Saturday's line-up appealing to older children. On the bill will be the very best of CBBC, and a spectacular music concert, featuring big pop headliners!Sunday will be aimed at younger festival goers and their families and will offer an exciting array of performances from some of the biggest names in children's entertainment, amazing experiences, and wonderful adventures - all resulting in a fantastic family day out.BBC Children's are looking for 2 experienced Assistant Producers to join the team from either 18th March 2019 or 1st April 2019 running until 9th August. Role ResponsibilityWorking closely with the Event Producer, devising and helping to produce numerous live activities across the two day family festival. Liaising with talent and other contributors to ensure the smooth running of the event.Are you the right candidate? Demonstrable experience of creating exciting live content and coming up with effective creative solutions Ability to manage complex relationships with both internal and external partners Ability to work as part of a team and work closely with the Events Producer to deliver all tasks undertaken Provide on-site event support, working with contributors and members of the public Ability to write scripts for hosts and on-site talent Strong planning and organising skills and the ability meet tight and challenging deadlines
