Assistant Producer

Manchester

This Digital Assistant Producer role within the Primary Music Campaign team will develop, create and help manage both the digital content and online user experience for the campaign.

Working closely with the Digital Producer, Campaign Producer and wider team, the Digital Assistant Producer will have the ability and experience to help set the editorial tone & style of online content, as well as having the technical ability and knowledge to create and develop our online proposition for the campaign.

Initially, the project team requires a collaborative approach with D&E and UX to build the Music Campaign's online proposition and its associated functionality, including identifying risks, timeline and costs. Once in production, the Digital Assistant Producer will also advise the editorial content-making team, helping them adapt to serve the specific requirements of the campaign.

Working alongside colleagues from Marketing, the role requires contributions to the development of a social media strategy as well as the development and management of social media content for the campaign. The role requires the flexibility to work across a range of content and to help to produce an innovative, content-driven website with audience insight at its heart. The Assistant Producer will be a key point of translation between editorial ideas, technical demands, and exciting finished content, working with internal and external suppliers and stakeholders to achieve this. The role ensures that value and creativity feed through into every element of the Primary School Music Campaign proposition.

Are you the right candidate?
You will need to have demonstrable experience of creating brilliant learning content, with a genuine enthusiasm for enriching our audiences' learning experience. Experience of working with the target audience, and knowledge of the educational sector would be beneficial. A clear demonstrable knowledge and enthusiasm for music, in all its forms, would be preferable.

Combined with that, you'll have strong communication skills and the ability to lead others. You'll be experienced at managing external relationships and delivering outstanding content on time and within your budget, remaining calm and focused under pressure. You'll have excellent project management skills and substantial digital editorial experience.

You will be audience-focused in everything you do, with an awareness of the needs and demands of today's learners and the ability to generate and research ideas to meet these, supported by the ability to edit both digital and social content for tone and style.
