Assistant Producer

London

Assistant Producer (Video) - Fixed Term Contract (6-months)

Leicester Square - London

Global's Video department produces content for our award-winning websites and radio brands and we're looking for a passionate and skilled Assistant Producer to work with a focus on the Chris Moyles Show and Radio X's video output.

What we expect from you

This is not an entry-level position - it will require multiple skill sets from the successful candidate as well as passion, drive and personality in your work.

You will need to vision mix and capture the show's day-to-day output, as well as cam-op for features as required and edit clips with a fast turnaround in Adobe Premiere Pro. You'll be multi-tasking every day, so we're looking for someone with good organisational skills that can keep a cool head under pressure.

We're also looking for a creative head that can contribute with ideas to the show's output and, in turn, influence how we continue to publish engaging content for our digital audience.

An intermediate to expert knowledge of Premiere Pro is a must, as well as experience with cameras - with specific experience of Sony FS7s an advantage. Experience with vision mixing, particularly with Blackmagic systems will also be a plus.

You will have the knowledge and expertise to lend your skills to projects outside of the breakfast show output, from live music sessions to event coverage and you'll be an all-rounder with the passion and drive to lend your skills across the business.

We work fast, our deadlines are short, so you'll thrive in a high-pressure environment and want to continue to develop your skills and expertise.

This is a role that works across Radio X's video output; so you'll understand its offerings and have a good idea of the audiences and what they expect on their radios, smartphones and computers.

What you'll be doing

Vision mixing.
Editing and compiling video content.
Shooting footage with some of the biggest stars in the world.
Using our state-of-the-art studios and remote cameras to vision mix quality content.
Using the graphics packages put together by our Shooter/Editors and Designers to enhance our video output.
You'll always be thinking about how we can create better and more engaging content to help our brands stay on top of the video market

Skills Required

Camera skills - ideally with the Sony FS7 range and associated accessories.
Editing skills - Premiere Pro knowledge is a must and other Creative Cloud apps is a bonus. We're looking for someone with creative flair.
Lighting skills - basic knowledge of various lighting techniques.
Vision mixing - multi-camera vision mixing experience with specific knowledge of Blackmagic hardware and software an advantage.
The ability to create high-quality video content to a tight deadline.
