Job Title: Assistant Producer

Reports to: Head of Programmes
Responsible for: N/A
Contract Type: 12 month fixed term contract
Hours: 40 hours per week (including evenings and weekends when required)
Salary: Dependent on experience
Purpose of Role:
To assist Producers and other senior production staff in all areas of production, and contribute to the development of programmes, taking accountability for any editorial matters.
Main Responsibilities:
• To demonstrate a balanced and objective judgement in editorial decisions based on a good understanding of the end user.
• To work across a number of projects (The FA, UEFA, Chelsea TV, BoxNation for BT Sport, ITF) in both live and post production capacities.
• To write scripts and demonstrate a good quality in "telling the story".
• To creatively direct camera crews on film shoots for various programmes.
• To undertake any other duties as and when required.
Person specification:
Essential criteria:
1 - 3 years' experience working in a production role, with editing practice
Experience of live programmes
Good editorial judgement
Knowledge of production techniques
Ability to prioritise workload
Ability to work under pressure
Excellent attention to detail
Highly self-motivated and adaptable
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Have a creative mind-set
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
An interest in sports
Willing to work evenings and weekends when required
