Assistant Producer (News)

WHAT'S YOUR NEW ROLE ABOUT?

2018 promises to be an exciting year in sport, and we are looking for content creators who will continue to put our news clients at the forefront in an ever-changing market place.
Whether it be for the digital, social or broadcast marketplace, you will be expected to script, produce, edit and deliver a variety of market-leading clips, using highlights, newsgathering and data editorial on the biggest sports, teams and players across the globe.The post holder will also be a key point of contact for the alignment of UK functions with other News verticals, including international and regional teams.

You will be based in our Feltham office, so it is essential, due to the nature of the hours, that you can arrange your journey to and from work outside of public transport hours.

The role is full time and will require flexibility as the hours will a shift pattern including evenings and weekends

HERE'S YOUR ROLE BROKEN DOWN (NOT ALL OF IT, JUST THE MOST IMPORTANT STUFF)

Content creation as part of a UK team that delivers web-ready stories for digital clients
Content creation as part of a UK team that creates stories, social & viral content for broadcast clients
Content creation as part of a team that produces a daily sports news programme
Liaise with our international teams to ensure a smooth workflow of content

DO YOU HAVE THESE ESSENTIALS?

First rate knowledge of and interest in a range of UK sports
Knowledge of key editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, AVID) to a broadcast standard
Ability to produce engaging content for digital and traditional consumers
· Balanced and objective judgement of editorial decisions based on thorough understanding of guidelines
· Willingness to work 'shift based' role, featuring weekend and night work
· Ability to work well to tight deadlines in a pressurised environment

Ability to offer creative and flexible solutions to help develop and shape products
Excellent command of written and spoken English
Broadcast journalism qualification or relevant experience

IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAD THESE DESIRABLES TOO

Team player, but equally able to work independently
Ability to speak or translate multi-language
Excellent time-management skills
Experience of delivering voice reports a distinct advantage
Knowledge of channels, restrictions, branding and graphics
Understanding of new technologies used in delivery of multi-platform content
