This role is to lead and manage the team responsible for the video and social content on all of the digital platforms managed by BBC Wales News ensuring creative and engaging content is delivered to our audiences and the audiences we want to reach. The successful candidate will work closely with the editor and other assistant editors to generate ideas, commission content from within the team, forward plan, ensure the content complies with BBC editorial standards, and deliver innovative and creative video and social content to our audiences.

Forward planning skills and people management form part of the duties of the successful candidate. There will be an expectation for the successful candidate to liaise and manage relationships with other outlets in BBC Wales news as well as in other BBC centres.

This job involves shift working and weekend working.
