Art Director


Colloquial / Group SJR is looking for a driven Art Director individual for our London office. About the Company Group SJR is a digital marketing communications firm of more than 120 strategists, writers, designers, multimedia producers, and developers. SJR clients include GE, Barneys, Credit Suisse, Dell, Levi Strauss & Co., EY, Aon, Danone and many more. We are a WPP company. Colloquial is a joint venture of J. Walter Thompson, the world's best-known communications brand, and Group SJR. It lives at the intersection of advertising, publishing and public relations, with storytelling and creativity at its core. Our team is looking for a Art Director with 4-7 years of experience to join our growing team. We are looking for hungry , strong conceptual thinkers who have solid design skills and basic expertise in Mac design programs. You need to exhibit the potential to push the boundaries of creative excellence and ensure the delivery of required results. You will be responsible for developing unique ideas from across the company into compelling stories for brands that capture the interest and attention of our audience. Your Responsibilities · Execute creative client concepts that are on strategy. · Generate breakthrough ideas and constantly strive for new, better, more innovative solutions. · Handle smaller, simpler assignments in department to free up the more senior teams. · Must fill in the gaps on concepts developed by more senior members of the creative group. · Basic ability to think strategically. · Manage workflow efficiently and take responsibility for timing and delivery. What do you need to have: Expert knowledge of Keynote and ideally Powerpoint Knowledge of a Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) Ability to uphold brand and style guidelines Detail-oriented individual who reviews his/her work carefully Advertising or marketing industry knowledge and experience a plus Experience creating video-based marketing materials a plus Strong interpersonal and communication skills Manage time effectively, to multi-task and meet deadlines Strong portfolio showcasing high-end presentation design skills and clean design aesthetic Bachelor's Degree in Design preferred
