We are looking for an Art Director to join our ever growing creative team. This is a senior position and we need someone with a strong creative background and impeccable communication and leadership skills. You will need experience in both animation and stills. This is a unique opportunity to help shape Culture Trip's visual style and aesthetic as we grow our Animation & Illustration team.

The ideal candidate will be able to critique and guide artists with multiple visual styles, have a strong understanding of what it means to be leading a worldwide network of artists to a common goal. We work across editorial and commercial projects so an understanding of both industries would be preferable. Our work lives across various platforms so an ability to tell stories digitally, socially and traditionally is a must.
We need someone with a passion for storytelling with superb technical skills. We're after someone with enthusiasm, a positive attitude, the capability to collaborate within a team structure and adapt to a frequently changing start-up environment.

This is a full time, permanent role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Creatively lead a team of freelance artists from around the world.
Creatively lead and advise a small team of animators in house and be able to direct work being created by outside vendors.
Working with the producers and marketing teams to create briefs and generate artistic strategy plans for the company.
Ability to design beautiful style frames on projects that require it.
Able to pitch ideas efficiently to the team and wider company.
Nurture and guide younger members of our network and ensure creative process is at its highest standard.

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Stand out portfolio and leadership background.
Minimum of 5 years industry experience.
Ability to manage and prioritise projects effectively and to meet deadlines.
Skills in Photoshop, After FX & 3D software would be advantageous.
A strong eye for design and narrative structures.
