Location: Remote working, but based at Aardman's studio in Bristol when required, abiding to current Covid protocols & procedures.

We are looking for an Animation Director to become part of Aardman's first fully in-house CG/mixed medium series. The series will be 52eps x 11mins.

The purpose of this role will be to direct animation to a high quality, leading two teams of CG animators and a 2D FX animator, to meet the creative vision of the Series Director. Working hands on, when required, to create CG animation and 2D FX. You will work with the Asset Lead in ensuring the characters and props are rigged appropriately to their requirements in line with the Series Director's creative vision.

The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing character animation, and the animation bible for the entire production under the vision of the Series Director.

You will have excellent problem solving skills and an ability to predict potential problems, with a strong attention to detail. We are looking for someone with experience working on an animation TV series, with excellent knowledge of Maya and Flash. You will have the ability to lead a team in a production environment, must be passionate about character animation and acting, and must have previous animation directing experience.
